WHAT YOU WILL GET

4 oz Scented Reed Diffuser Refill Oil. You choose the scent and color. 10 reed sticks (10" X 2.75mm) Square Mini Reed Bottle This product is premixed. You do not need to purchase base oil or mix anything. Alcohol or Not? Alcohol: Thinner oil means faster wick absorption and diffusion.  The oil evaporates into the air. Stronger scent dispersion You may smell the alcohol when you open the bottle, but you will not smell the alcohol when the oil is being diffused. Lower flash point - poses a risk of fire Not recommended for use in electric diffusers No Alcohol: Thicker non volatile oil means little to no evaporation, and slower release offragrance. Weaker scent dispersion There is little no chemical smell in thebottle or in the air Higher flash point - less fire risk Safe for use in electric diffusers. Our personal preference and recommendation is alcohol.  In general, the alcohol diffusers are stronger, but last about half the time as those without alcohol.  They are more susceptible to drying out if left in drafts and work much better when not exposed to hot or drafty climates.  It is our opinion that a diffuser which gives off stronger scent, but evaporates away makes more sense than a diffuser that gives off a medium scent and stops working while there is still product in the bottle.

HOW TO SET UP A REED DIFFUSER SYSTEM

Fill a bottle, vase, or jar with reed diffuser oil. Insert reeds. The more reeds the more fragrance, so think about the size of the area you wish to scent. Wait for the oil to "wick up" the reeds and diffuse into the air. This will take a few hours. Flip the reeds any time you think about it, any time the ends appear dry, or every few days to refresh them and keep them from clogging with dust. If reeds do not diffuse anymore, they may be clogged with dust. Simply replace them. When changing fragrance, be sure to change your reeds too. The new fragrance will not remove the old one, but will rather blend with it, and may create an undesirable effect.

NOTES ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

Reed diffusers require no electricity or heat. This is a perfect summertime fragrance product. A 4 ounce diffuser system will last about 3 months. Different fragrance oils have different natural viscosities and some may wick up the reeds faster or slower than others. Therefore, different scents will last longer than others. The scent throw will range, depending on the fragrance, draft, how often reeds are turned, etc.. These are not heated, so they will not throw scent like a candle, tart, or oil warmer. Colored oil will wick up the reeds and color the sticks. I offer custom hand cut reeds in any length you want, and have both thick and thin reeds. Just contact me if you need a custom sized reed. My diffuser oils are of a low viscosity for superior diffusion.

PRODUCT WARNINGS

This product is for fragrance purposes only. Any other use is at your own risk, and I won't be held liable for your misuse of this product. Reed diffuser oils are specifically formulated for use in reed diffuser systems. Do not heat them, or use them on the skin. Keep away from children and pets. The oils may be harmful if swallowed. May cause eye, skin, or respiratory irritation. If so, discontinue contact with the product. You may be allergic to the fragrance oils. Do not dispose of oils into your drainage system. Soak them up with paper towel and place into the garbage. In case of spills, use an absorbent towel to soak up excess oil, and wash area with soap and water. These oils can damage wood, leather, cloth, and finishes if not immediately cleaned up.
