HOW TO MAKE AROMA BEADS

Prepare for a mixing ratio of about 1:9. You will use one part fragrance oil to 9 parts aroma beads, measured by weight, not volume. You will need undiluted fragrance oil, oil based liquid dye, aroma beads, and a glass jar with a lid. Pour your measured fragrance oil and appropriate amount of liquid oil based dye into the glass jar. Swirl to mix fragrance and dye. Pour beads into the mixture Place lid on the jar and shake until thoroughly coated with oils. Re-shake the jar every six hours or so until the oil has absorbed into the beads and they are dry to the touch. If five days has passed and your beads have not absorbed the oil, then either add more beads to soak up the remaining oil, or use a paper towel if you are out of beads That's it!

SUGGESTED USES

Place in an organza bag or sachet envelope and use as drawer, closet, cabinet, or bathroom freshener. Place in an organza bag and hang from your rear view mirror as a car air freshener. Place in a jar with a vented lids and put it in the cup holder in your car, in a cabinet, on the back of the toilet, or wherever else you need some fragrance. Stuff dolls and other bead filled craft projects. Melt in the oven at a low temperature and cut out scented window hangers using a cookie cutter. Great for holidays. Place in a candy dish for both fragrance and decoration in your home, at weddings, showers, and parties. My all time favorite use for these beads - I suck them up into my vacuum cleaner bag and every time I vacuum, it releases the fragrance into the air - No powder or sprays in my carpet.

NOTES ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

Aroma beads are an FDA approved plastic type material. They are of a rubbery consistency about 3 mm in diameter. These beads absorb fragrance oils and dyes and diffuse them back out into the air. They are not coated with the oils and they are not hollow beads that are filled with oil. Fragrance beads give off a weak fragrance and are not intended to "throw" scent like other fragrance products. They are similar in fragrance strength to paper car air fresheners. Heat enhances the diffusion of the fragrance, so cars and home windows are the most effective location to place them. The fragrance will last for several months, but will weaken as it is released and diffused. The beads can be refreshed with fragrance oil one they have diffused all of their fragrance. Simply place them in a jar and add a little oil. Shake them every few hours until they have absorbed the oil and they will be good to go again.

You may be allergic to the fragrance oils. Do not dispose of beads in any type of water system, including toilets, baths, sinks, streams, rivers, etc. Plastic beads pose a threat to the natural water resources. Please dispose of them by placing in the garbage. These beads could release oils, so do not place them directly on wooden furniture, or clothing.
